DANCE FEVER! with your poet in residence: DAN CUPID! DAN: Can Cupid here! I'm (as you know) an expert on romance! And where's the place where love e'ver blooms? A rockin' 6th grade dance! A chaperone of sorts I am. I float above the scene and watch the writing bodies fueled by sugar and caffeine! There's Francis dancing clumsily with Sheila. Ain't it sweet! And Teddy's pseudo-disco moves are really quite a "feet!" The D.J.'s lame. The music stinks, but one thing can't be missed: The sight of clueless teachers trying hard to do the "twist." TEACHER: Here's how to do it kids! DAN: Then every head turns to the right as in the the door strolls Nate! He's dashing! Handsome! Debonair! And fashionably late. OS: Oooh! Aaaaah! DAN: He saunters toward a group of girls, a young Adonis, he. Let's listen as he makes his move... NATE: Who wants to dance? GIRLS: Not me.
I have that problem too
