In my little city (NYC) it’s rare to see a fanny pack, except on people with large bellies, pastel polo shirts and street maps. Not only are sandals and a fanny pack not thug of any color, but they’re not any kind of urban at all.
“sandals and a fanny pack” — that’s very clearly urban for “lame” … or even “ridiculous.”
