Offering #2 today, I really admire the first panel, as much for the idea from Foxo as the art. Rather than just going for the ‘joke of the day’, it’s almost tantalizing for regular readers to wonder what adventure Bozo is fleeing from (apparently jumping a fence to slip past a cop on the beat), only to escape right into a situation at the ballgame he’s arrived at.
It’s like the cartoonist is asking the audience: What if because of space limitations we only get to see one of the many exploits of our Bozo on any given day? (Talk about la vida loca.)
