Peri: Let's take "jagged drop" for the last run of our vacation. Abby: Yeah, we should do at least one black-diamond slope before we leave. Jack: Uhhh... Mondo: Don't think about it, just do it! Peri: Hopefully, when we grow up, we'll have more sense than to do something like that. Abby: That's why you have to have all the fun you can when you're a kid. Jack: Hopefully, we'll survive being kids. Mondo: That was cool!
At Killington ski area in Vermont, there is (or was) a black diamond slope called “Outer Limits”. You would have an easier time getting me to jump out of an airplane with a parachute than to get me to go down Outer Limits on skis.
Nonetheless, back in my skiing days I would frequently see young kids eagerly go down that slope. If they fell, they would just bounce back up and keep going. They seemed to love it.
