One is that he is son of iapetus, which would make him Zeus’ cousin since Zeus is born from Cronos, brother of iapetus. Ok, we can go with younger cousin. Another is that Atlas is a son of Ouranos, thus first generation Titan, which makes him Zeus’ uncle.
