LOVE that poem. I chose it as my poem to recite in a speech class in college. It still gives me chills, especially the ending: “Nothing beside remains. Round the decay // Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare // The lone and level sands stretch far away.” Sic transit gloria mundi.
Oh, this also reminds me of great performers of the past whose names children and even older people today wouldn’t even recognize. “They don’t make ’em like they used to!”
