My dachshund had back surgery four years ago and is limited to 20 minutes of walking a day per the vet. I put her in a pram since I like to walk for an hour or so. She rides most of the time but when she walks I simply let her go where ever she wants in the park. That is when she is the happiest little doxie. I have her on a leash so I follow her…over the grass, through the trees, bushes, hillsides and swales. She loves to sniff and track mostly squirrels. I’m elderly, so my dog is the octogenarian agility trainer. But the best part of the walk is when we pass a mother with a child in their pram and I exclaim, “You can put kids in these things?”
