Connie: I can't believe you had your 50th birthday last year, and didn't say anything! Elly: John knew, of course, but he promised not to tell. We just went out and had quiet dinner together. We talked about life and love. I wanted to think about my accomplishments - and all the things I have yet to accomplish. Turning 50 is a sobering event, Connie. Connie: I know. That's why I plan to get blasted.
On my 50th, my friends threw a big party for me, and we had a great time! It’s only “sobering” if you want it to be.
