Gordon: Your finances look OK, Mike. Dee will have some money coming in - and you're keeping your expenses down. Michael: She wants to go back to work a year after the baby's born. I was hoping we'd be able to save for a house, but that's a long way off, now. You are doing so well, Gord. You have a successful business, and a home. Congratulations, man! Some of us used to wonder what you were gonna do without a University education. And, while we were in school, you went ahead and DID it!!!
A nice fantasy, but in reality it is very difficult to get anywhere without a university education. Gordon was a hard worker, but he also had the right connections at the right time - someone who was ready to retire and basically gave him the business he had built.
