Transcript:
Peter: Hey, Dad - any chance I could have $10 for gas? Roger: Where are you going? Peter: Over to Steve's house. Roger: Peter, that's a two-block round-trip drive, you'll use about at teaspoon of gasoline. Roger: You don't need $10. Peter: The price went up again? Roger: Here's a twenty. Call if that's not enough.
If I were his dad, I would be debating the cost of gasoline, but why he wants to use the car in the first place, since he’s only going one block (2 blocks round trip).
