I do not appreciate the mood in America towards older people.
There is great discussion of both of the candidates for president’s ages and it is a legitimate concern. However, in each side’s attempt to tear down the other, we older people are depicted as being feeble people wearing bunny slippers, hunched over a walker with tennis balls on the legs, , drooling and mumbling incoherently and wetting our depends.
Yes, some of these afflictions DO come with age, but not all of us are like that nor do these afflictions mean that we are incompetent nor does it mean that we are done making our contributions to society.
