Heart of the City by Steenz for October 04, 2006
Transcript:
Dean: Heart, I'm sorry I didn't draw the cartoon you wanted, but I was moved by the moment! George Lucas is selling us the same three "Star Wars" movies... again! How many times will he sell us the same thing before somebody steps up and says, "enough is enough!" Heart: What has that got to do with out school? Dean: Well, members of the chess club are deeply concerned.
Alright I don’t hate Dean but the constant Star Wars stuff gets old sometimes. Another commenter on another Heart strip pointed out that Jason from FoxTrot was similar to Dean but ultimately a stronger character because he didn’t constantly go back to the same thing so much of the time. There was more variety. I’ll also add to that that Jason had the benefit of not being an obvious mouthpiece for the author. You felt like you were hearing Jason’s opinions on things and not Bill Amend’s.
