Monster: She stole it! Girl hobbitses is a thief! my preciouss! Heart: Whoa! take a chill pill, frog boy! Heart: How do I know this is your ring? I found it just loose in the water! Monster: No! No! It lies! Smeagol would never just leave the precious! Monster: Give it! We wants it! We wants my preciousss! Heart: What it needs is a good anti depressant.
Normally I wouldn’t revisit a LOTR/Hobbit-type storyline, but there was a young woman fan I met at NYC Comic Con who really enjoyed them. She had clipped all the strips from previous like stories of years gone by and put them into a small binder. And she came and saw me at the con and asked my to sign some of her favortite strips, and then she begged me to write another HEART story about the Hobbit once the movie came out. She is also a kindergarten teacher, and I have a hard time saying no to them.
So call me lazy or say I don’t care what readers think, but this story is for her. If you don’t like it, there are hundreds of other comic strips on the Gocomics site to chose from. I suggest you go there.
