A president under active investigation by the FBI (led by a life-long member of his own party) should not be allowed to appoint judges who would be the final authorities ruling on issues relevant to his cases.
The McConnell rules (which I disagreed with but which, in karma-driven fairness, must be followed when the situation is reversed) obstructed a president who was not under investigation, who actually won with the most votes AND outright full majorities — twice — because there was an election NINE months later. In contrast, Trump came in second by almost three MILLION votes and is under active FBI investigation and there is an election FOUR months away.
Do I expect the slightest degree of moral consistent from a liar and hypocrite like McConnell who puts party over country? Of course not. But it is incumbent on those with decency and standards to publicize his perfidy and put pressure on less two faced (and triple chinned) lying hypocrites and hope there remains at least ONE principled Republican left.
