Here is one reason Trump is receiving support from Latinos.
My oldest son Ignacio tried to immigrate here from Spain when he was 17. He could not because he had no special skills that were needed here. My son Juan learned from that and developed special skills that were need here before applying. He was given a greed card and is now and an American citizen.
Three of my grandparents arrive legal during the Mexican revolution. My father arrived legal because of special skills.
It is hard for us to be sympathetic to those who came her illegally and have reduced the pay of people working at manual jobs to the point American can no support them selves performing these jobs.
When I was young, an American could support himself and a family as a gardener. Admittedly at a low standard of living but he could and did. Now he can not even support himself competing against illegals working at below minimum wages and the many times just part time.
