I’m not sure if this is the greatest idea ever, or the worst. I mean, what if the whole capitalist machine was comprised of A.I. and robots, doing all the work and production, and the buying and selling, and the service and the warring, from the top to the bottom, etc, etc…. And we just sat on the sidelines enjoying the benefits of their labor? In some sense this is what has been promised ever since automation was first conceived, that it would pave the way for a life of leisure. Why does capitalism need us? Isn’t a proxy slave good enough?
This concludes the completely unrealistic, fanciful fantasy section of the comments.
