People have mentioned soap kills both harmful and beneficial bacteria. Still, there is much good to be said for cleanliness. Solution? Culture the assorted beneficial bacteria, the ones which fight it out with invasive, nuisance bacteria that cause infections or unpleasant odors. Sprinkle the good ones on after a bath, like talcum powder but alive and mutualistic. (And hope they haven’t mutated into some other kind.) You are going to have some type of bacteria taking up residence on your skin, better to select a better class.
