Our forecast is for 62 again, but it’s 51 at the moment, almost 10 degrees warmer than yesterday at this time. It helps that the overcast is gone and we have bright sunshine and blue skies. Perfect day for Thanksgiving.
I used to love the Macy’s parade until they turned it into a showcase for the Broadway musicals. They stop the march so each group can give a 10 minute show. That’s not a parade. I love parades in general and have marched in my share of them. It can be a lot of fun.
We did get our new bed(s) put together yesterday and slept on it last night. (Of course, we about killed ourselves doing it.) It was great! Michael was able to raise his head and feet so his back didn’t hurt and I was able to leave mine flat. Under a bedspread during the day, it looks like one big bed. A friend of Mike’s will be over sometime this weekend to pick up the sleep number bed. We’re even donating the sheets and heated mattress pad for it. They can decide what they want to use or not.
I have today’s feast all planned out and started this morning by defrosting the pumpkin pie I had frozen unbaked last year. (The Libby’s recipe makes two pies and we can only eat one at a time. We meant to eat it sometime during the year but forgot it was there. LOL) I made mom’s raw cranberry relish yesterday. Michael loves the stuff. Me? Not so much. Other than that relish, I have planned pretty much the generic turkey dinner, stuffing, potatoes & gravy, yams, etc.
Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day and your feast and God Bless each and every one of you.
Happy Thanksgiving, Vagabonds.
