Many years ago an advertising man at Ford Motors was caught with the lights off and his eyes closed in his office and asked by the big boss there what he was up to. He claimed that he was thinking up advertising programs, but was fired any way. Well it turned out that the program he was working on at the time which was not implemented until after he left, which featured billboards across the country with the slogan—-Watch the Fords Go By——was the most successful sales campaign the company ever had.
