Victoria: #5: Decision making... how should we handle it? Joe: Uh-oh. OK... I have to admit that I'm quite a traditionalist in this area of marriage. Victoria: Oh... really? So you're fine with being on a need-to-know basis? Joe: Hey, who am I to question the natural order? Victoria: More bonus points for reality-boy!
Baloney. Palos, the correct phrase in this situation is: “When you hear hoofbeats in the park, don’t think zebras.” In other words, the most obvious thing is usually the correct one. And, that is: Joe is a wimp. If he had any guts, he would have told her, “You don’t want a man, you want a ventriloquist’s dummy, and I am so out of here!” But, he won’t because (this is typical of him) he doesn’t want to hurt her feelings. Or, he’s just scared to death of what would happen if he stood up to her. He’s just the feminazis’ favorite man.
