Obama: Tweedledee, if I admit I was wrong and you were right, do you think I can ever get anything through the House? John Boehner: No. Obama: Then all I have to do is reexamine my principles and play it your way? Boehner: Yes. You know, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship. Obama: You're the boss. Adventures in Wonderland.
Thanks to the SuperMajority of Republicans in the House of Representatives in Congress and in 20 StateHouses around the 50 states and in the Gubernatorial state Capitols…..President Obama’s ambitious program of Hope is derailed and defunct. He does not have the advantages that FDR had in 1936 and 1938. Nor, does he have the advantages that President Clinton had in the second half of his Presidency in foreign policy and the “swing to the center” centrist policies in domestic policy. President Obama will struggle uphill for 2 years in a lame-duck Presidency and only hope to excel in foreign policy. He must try to make his mark in history and write a decent memoir like a former President would.
