Goat: Every time I get depressed about people's intelligence I see a story that gives me real hope. Rat: Like what? Goat: Like this story. It says book sales are up for the first time in nine years. Rat: What's driving the sales? History books? Science books? Goat: Adult coloring books. We're @*#@*#@ doomed. Pig: Look. Reading learns me.
I can’t deny that the market for adult coloring books exists, because I can’t walk into Barnes & Noble without seeing stacks of the things. I’m immune to their appeal myself, of course, just as I never cared much for coloring when I was a child..I suspect being colorblind has a lot to do with it.
