The Buckets by Greg Cravens for October 16, 2016

We're overdue to have the branches of our big trees trimmed up. I talked to an arborist. It'll cost almost $3,000. But I called the equipment rental place. We can get a 50 foot left for two days for $300. We ought to get a decent chainsaw. An electric one would be another $100... Gas, oil, blade sharpening.. Will probably cut an extension cord or to... Safety glasses, gloves... Band-Aids, bandages, emergency room visit, doctors follow-up... Missed workday... Well! It comes out about the same. Hey... Did you say we'd need the left for two whole days? True! Who's got that kind of time? I'll call the arborist for you.
This fine cartoons goes out to my wife, who really did save us thousands of dollars (again) by renting a boom lift, getting another chain saw (I’m really sorry about that last one) and arbored the heck out of the old Pecan tree out back. I was not allowed to go up in the boom lift. And therefore, I’m around to draw cartoons for you.
