Absolutely true story: We lived in a haunted house about 45 years ago. Nothing scary, just random ghostly events. My wife had a large collection of sheet music she kept in a particular cabinet. One day she asked me if I had seen her sheet music. I hadn’t. We looked all over the house for it but it was gone. Several years later I came home from work and her sheet music was sitting on the dining room table. I asked her where she had found it and she didn’t know it was back. No idea where it went or how it came back. I mention this because I had an almost complete collection of Conan the Barbarian comic books in three boxes. When I returned to college at 35, I took them with me so I would have something to read when I wanted a break from studying. Somehow I lost one of the most important ones, where they introduced a character who was going to be in the magazine for about 40 issues. When I returned home at the end of the school year, that issue was missing. I took all of the issues out of all three boxes and arranged them in numerical order. The issue was gone! Couldn’t find it anywhere. Must have lost it at college. Oh, well. We spent several years trying to replace the issue but couldn’t. I’ve moved three times since then and brought the comic books with me each time. This year I decided to read them all again. Somehow in the last 45 years, THAT ISSUE REAPPEARED. It is back in the box in order. Our ghost had the last word. She hid my comic book then brought it back after I had given up on it.
