That happened to me. It wasn’t until I took archery in 7th grade PE that I discovered I was supposed to be a lefty. (I just thought I was a klutz)
When I couldn’t hit a target in archery, the instructor watched what I was doing and said shoot left-handed. It made a profound difference.
My mom later admitted I had been a natural lefty but she and my early teachers forced me to write and use eating utensils with my right hand.
