Are you sure you'll be the first, Chris? what if somebody's beaten you to it? Columbus: What?? who could possibly have beaten me to it? I dunno the vikings? Columbus: Those guys in the goofy helmets? yeah, right!
Christopher Columbus wasn’t ever looking for a New World. He was looking for a westward route to Asia, but ended up in Central America around the island of Hispaniola, and actually murdered many Native Americans, wanting gold for Spain. He started the Columbian Exchange, as well as European colonization of America, but he was a bad man. In his death bed, he still thought that he had landed in the Indies.
