NATE: For my assignment, I was supposed to do a report on the :Lincoln-Douglas Debates." But I couldn't! Why? Because there is nobody named "Lincoln-Douglas!" Believe me. I looked! Let's say there was some totally obscure guy named Lincoln Douglas! What were these debates all about? What up with that? Who was Lincoln Douglas debating? When did it happen? If anybody knows, tell me, because I certainly have no clue! So anyway, you see my predicament! How can I write a report on some clown who never existed? Obviously I can't! So instead, I drew this giant question mark to forever symbolize the unknowable mystery of...Lincoln Douglas! CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP! NATE: Thank you! Thank you! GODFREY: (thought) Cripes.
Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglas.
