Charlene: Did you get up at 5:30 and do an hour-long power walk like you said you were going to, Cathy? Woman: Hey, Cathy, how was your big walk?? Man: You said you were walking every day! Mr. Pinkley: You gave everyone a big speech about your new walking program! Employee: How was the walk?? Employee 2: Did you walk? Cathy: Forget "Weight maintenance." My new fitness goal is "Slience Maintenance."
I’ve always been a self-motivator, and think it’s annoying when people put pressure on me with the intention of trying to “push” me. I would hate those pseudo boot camps with the instructor yelling in my face. But everyone is different, and I know it works for some.My husband did the public announcement one time, and it sorta backfired on him. He announced he was going to start a running regimen with the intent of running a 5K at the end. He pulled his hamstring after a couple of weeks and had to give it up (probably because he went from doing no exercise to running every other day). I’m sure he got tired of answering questions about how his running program was going.Good morning Cathy clan! Making plans to go visit my mom. It’s so confusing bc my sister only tells me how bad my mom is, while my husband says she’s doing okay (for someone who just had a stroke). So frustrating and I wish I could stop crying at the drop of a hat. Poor Jr has been to the school counselor twice because she’s upset too.
