What’s done is done and what’s gone is gone, Cathy. If you want to send Christmas cards, then send them and don’t worry about the past. Easter’s gone . . . the birthday is gone . . . so are the wedding, baby and graduation card opportunities you could have acknowledged but didn’t. Since it’s YOU we’re talking about, believe me, nobody was surprised at your lack of timely detail for those occasions when they happened. It’s time to cast away the guilt, move on and simply try to do better from now on because there’s really nothing else you can do other than that.
