Hey, me too. Uh, my intention was never to offend the brave, friendly and beautiful people of Romania. For the record, the line I will now replace was a lame attempt to rewrite the phrase “Friends, Romans, Countrymen…”
You’re dead meat if you need the entire speech in front of you. A 3X5 with key words is plenty. Seen hundreds of paper shufflers lose their place with the aid of Klep Annon.
Hey everyone! Just for the record, you stand on a podium, but you stand *behind** a lectern. Horace’s notes get stolen from the lectern, please. It’s a far-too-common mistake, and you may think it’s a little one, but try putting YOUR notes on the podium and reading them while they’re at your feet.
No, comments don’t have to be humorous; maybe Prof danglais was over-reacting to something that was apparently changed before I saw the comic (they were late updating yesterday), but he has the right to tell us when he’s insulted, just as you do.

I get the punch line but I don’t get the setup.

Chas – I’m with you – - – ??? Maybe Horace thinks it through, realizes all the ears are gone and there’s no point in going on.

Unfortunately Horace couldn’t leave the lecture hall. Someone stole the doorknob.

Here’s what I see gets stolen, in order: briefcase, speech, microphone, curtains, podium, spotlight.

…with the aid of Klep Annon Horace lost his train of thought before he hit the first comma. Lucky audience.

Am I the only one missing the point about Romanians and someone being offensive?
BlueIris Premium Member about 12 years ago
I don’t know about that, but first someone stole his briefcase, then his speech, then the microphone, and lastly the podium.

Now THAT’S a funny comment.
