    When I won my caption contest, I told creator Brian Basset that I hoped Ruby would join Red on a space mission. I may get my wish.

    This reminds me of when NASA decided that not all astronauts had to be test pilots. I easily met the stated “mission specialist” requirements, so I applied. The winners were way overqualified by that standard. Doctorates, NASA internships, and all that.
