Funny! BUT. there is no mention of an apple tree in Genesis Chapters 2 & 3. God never called the 2nd human in those chapters “Eve.” In fact, in the Hebrew text of chapter 3, the first human called the 2nd one “Khavah,” which means “Living.” The author Genesis didn’t say what kind of fruit was on the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil." Besides, there was only one of those trees.

And GA storylines are like Noah’s flood—They last 40 days and 40 nights, are rocky and turbulent, and end up being a washout.

Some people think it was a fig, not an apple, since Adam and Eve ended up clothed in fig leaves.

Another awful Slim Sunday. And tomorrow we get back to week seven (!) of Mutt and Jeff come visiting. Can the writing get any worse? Probably.

Great to see Walt in church today. Now if that carries over through the rest of the week, and Walt is back in his own house where he belongs, so much the better.
