Garbage cans are just to be used as garbage cans

Do not stand at home plate and admire your home run.

Always punt on 4th Down. Oh wait wrong sport.

Never steal first base.

Never swing at the first pitch after two consecutive home runs.

The “Not allowed to bunt if a pitcher is throwing a no-no” is silly. If the score is 1-0, then your first job is to get on base. Period. A 10-0 game ? Still, your job is to get a hit.

My favorite unwritten rule is don’t show up your opponent.

Don’t steal a base when you’re ten runs (or comfortably ahead) late in the game.

Nobody talks about rule club.

It shouldn’t, but this y-chromosome unstated unwritten rule makes my fingernails hurt!

the only rule that matters – it’s a business and the guy you are facing today may be your teammate tomorrow, so act like an adult.

Unwritten rules are one of the dumbest things in baseball. If it’s a rule, it should be written down. Otherwise you’re just playing Calvinball out there.
