MARIGOLD, NO–

Knowing that this moving storyline is basically the strip’s finale (at least in newspaper form, we’ll still have graphic novels) makes it a lot more poignant and bittersweet.

I’m actually living like a comic character.

I really like that Dana changes Phoebe’s clothes a lot. It just adds something to an already great comic!

They don’t wear the same clothes. They just have closets full of identical outfits. Which, I suppose, is technically also what Marigold has.

In the future, we’ll be able to smell comics.

Sorry Marigold, being nude is a hard sale.

There are web comics that aren’t in newspapers and make money by selling books. Girl Genius, for instance.

Marigold never has to worry about clothes!

I am imagining sharing a bed with a Unicorn, the fight over the covers word be a thing to see!

It’s good that Phoebe has a queen size bed, that way, Marigold has a place to sleep if she wants to!

Phoebe is one of the few comics characters with a wardrobe.

Well, I didn’t know that. Oh well.

Marigold is a magical unicorn who can protect herself from cold and the elements by magic and is 100% convinced that her body is perfect and flawless and that everyone who stares at her is doing so out of envy. Some of us need clothes for thoze things.

(cinge) Mmm. Nudity and hooves don’t see like an acceptable alternative, style-wise.

This is such a great strip, I’m sad to see it leaving dailies but I’m sure the graphic novels will be awesome!

I always loved how cartoon characters literally have closets that have the exact same set of clothes, and even more so when they browse like they’re all different.

With Marigold, clothing is optional. With humans like Phoebe, not so much. People complain when other people don’t conform.

I don’t want it to end!

Phoebe is one of the few comic characters who actually change clothes.
