In olden days, the husband would have to hunt and shoot the Thanksgiving turkey, then the wife would clean and cook it. Nowadays we just go to the store and buy a Thanksgiving turkey that's already been cleaned! That's progress! Progress for everyone except the turkey. Yeah, I only have to lose my head during the holidays in the metaphorical sense.
