Ah, the sweet illusion of choice we enjoy in so many countries but who always end up on top. Politicians should have to wear the logos of all their sponsors so we know who is really talking.
While Margaret Thatcher would not be a valid write in, Gregory Peck would certainly be valid. Born in 1915 in California, he was qualified to be President when this comic came out.
Reading this on a smallish computer screen, I first read the words on the polling booth as : “Property of US Election Suppression”. And I wasn’t surprised.

For Vice President you had Dan Quayle or Lloyd Bentsen: The dodger or the codger.

Kind of like our most recent choice, between The Dick or the Chick. The @ss or the Lass.

I see that win45 is subliminally right that ‘45’ was the worst president, though 47 seems to be beating a path to be even worse.

This has been my favorite single comic since it was published. I quote it every election and no one seems to get the reference.

“Sitting on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon,
Listening to the candidates debate,
Laugh about it, shout about it, when you’ve got to choose,
Every way you look at it, you lose."
-Simon & Garfunkel, 1968
