This whole thing reminds me of the story of a small town in Northern Ontario. The town was founded around 1900 and was named after the Sanskrit symbol for good luck. The town was called Swastika. Years later, along comes Hitler and the Nazi Party, which started using the Swastika symbol for their Party and later for all of Germany. When World War II started, some bright bulb in the provincial government decided that there shouldn’t be a town named after the Nazi symbol and unilaterally renamed the town Winston, after Winston Churchill. This did not go over well with the locals. When the provincial highways department replaced the sign that said “Swastika” at the entry to town with a sign that said “Winston”, the locals tore the new sign down and replaced it with the Swastika sign. The locals said, “To h*ll with Hitler. We came up with our name first.”

I guess Walt needs Gertie to give his memory an occasional jolt. Wonder if she uses electrodes.

Are the readers going to be asked to vote on the name change?

This means the plotline will go/drag/ on until November. And will anyone try to prevent the vote?
