Ten years ago, we should have bought a SUV because the Accord is getting hard to get in and out of (especially the passenger side for me) now that we are in our 80s. Our 2000 F-150 named Freddy reappears when our landscaping guy comes.
The only car I ever named was my first. It was a two year-old Ford, an early graduation gift from my parents. The color was metallic beige, and so I named it Peanut. We didn’t have the beeping key fobs back in the 60s, but I never had trouble finding Peanut in a parking lot— I attached a plastic bunch of peanuts to the antenna.

Perfect car. 1. Starts. 2. Goes forward when you want. 3. Goes backward when you want. 4. Stops when you want. 5. Is paid for.

I’d like to add…6. Heat on mid-west winter of your breath freezing on the windshield makes you appreciate a functional heater core.

Cylene can’t get through to Ruthie, who knows that she has what she needs and is happy with what she has!

Cylene is a poor little rich girl. Ruthie has wealth beyond her.

Reminds me of “My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry.”

Looks more like possibly an ’80 Omni to me.

Cylene is what my mother used to call a “pill.” It was not a compliment.
