Sure but he had a quill and ink that would drip and make strange shapes, possibly even words. That gadget you’re using requires a cat walking on the keyboard… or maybe a monkey.
Husband will be upstairs or in our living room and I am alone in the kitchen doing housework – or on my laptop reading comics and posts – and I will hear a big noise as if he fell or such. Our floors – other than 2 upstairs bedrooms – are not carpeted and I will start running in a panic – then start sliding across the dining room floor towards the front hall – I put out my hands in case I need help stopping to not hit the front wall.
About 999 out of 1000 times there is some other reason for the noise – but every time it scares the heck out of me.

Did those four hairs just sprout from Adam’s head?

There’s a murder novel there, Adam, a wife kills her husband after he screams at his computer and scared her.

I don’t believe Chaucer ever said that, but what do I know. But that tactic will scare something else onto cloth.

Sure scared something out of Laura.

Pretty sure Chaucer didn’t use a laptop.

Chaucer never said such a thing. Maybe James Joyce…

I hope that ‘Chaucer’ is not an A.I….

Oh no, Laura spilt her coffee. That should be sacrilege for Adam.

Well it definitely got him couch time.

I’m not even sure it is possible to say such a thing in Middle English. :)

Chaucer is illegible to the modern English speaker anyway.
