Time for a splashdown, Red.

This could easily e a “Calvin & Hobbes” strip—except that I don’t believe that Calvin’s Mom’s response would be quite as “nice” (or as intelligent) as Red’s Mom’s!

Houston, Red has a problem!

This strip made me think of the 1979 Bond movie Moonraker. That would be about ten years in the future to Red and Rover. At the end of the movie, M and Q see footage from space of Bond and Major Holly Goodhead floating in the space station with a sheet around them. M says, “Bond! What do you think you’re doing?!” Q replies, “He looks like he’s about to make re-entry.”

Mom is in control, period! They look so cute in their NASA box!

Mom is always in charge of Mission Control!

Is “Mom’s” beehive getting larger?

Mom should give them a dinner of reconstituted freeze-dried food from a small sack through a straw.

I adore Carol McLean – she is an intelligent and awesome mother.

Love Mom going along with Red’s play and her suggestion for getting back for dinner. Much better way of dealing with such an imaginative and creative child!
