So, is a group of butterflies called an “Air Force”??

Maybe that’s why most caterpillars are green.

I discovered caterpillars and butterflies were the same species as young as 3 thanks to my mother, an empty jar and some leaves.

Oh – and some all important airholes in the lid!

I had a pet caterpillar when I was six. Willy. I carried Willy in my jeans front pocket. One day I reached in and Willy was squashed. To this day I cannot eat or even look at peanut butter and jelly.

That’s not surprising. I believe that until the microscope was invented, people thought that babies came from fully formed humans on sperm.

An army of caterpillars won’t do your leafy plants any good

An army of caterpillars suggests 10s of thousands of caterpillars. If you personally only see a few together, it’s probably a squad of caterpillars. Maybe even a battalion of caterpillars….

Is there a committee that is the official responsible for making up these group names?
