Eno: No, dad. You only use the black remote to turn the tv on. The gray remote is the cable box remote. Eno: Use that to change channels, but first use the skinny remote to turn off the blu ray player. Eno: Our relationship has gone from child support to tech support.

Yeah, my dad was 96 when he passed away a couple years ago. Still able quite well actually, to live in his own home unassisted, but every now and then he would call me about his remote. Once it was just as simple as changing the batteries. He thought his set was broken. Good thing we lived close by, he would have been lost without the tv.
