Parallel universe stuff I guess

Bang on head, raise the dead.

Somebody has some Dain Bramage.

How bizarre.

Must have flown through some sort of space warp. And then hit his head pretty hard. Concussion be thy name.

That rock they found is involved in this, somehow….

Uh oh, that goatee can mean only one thing. We are dealing with a mirror universe like the one from Star Trek the Original Series and subsequently parodied by tons of other shows, including South Park. That is not our Kevin. And judging by his reaction, in his home universe he and Miles are enemies rather than friends.

Into the Kevin-verse.

They looked way different in the beginning of the strip so maybe it has something to do with that?

Oh, great! Kevin landed on his head and got amnesia!

Are we going into a Star Trek-style Mirror Universe bit now? That’s what the beard makes me think of.

Didn’t we already do a body-swapping story? Kids can’t get up to any other kind of mischief?

Even so, a kid wearing a goatee is going to be hard to swallow. Maybe it’s put on with a magic marker?

Are we in another dimension?

Uh-oh. His personality’s been split. Somebody get the glue…

And this is why we wear helmets.

It’s a Kevin from another universe!

You can’t hide the micro goatee.

Bizarre – in the version of this strip published in the New Hampshire Union Leader, the text in the last panel says, “Come to finish me off once for all, have you, Wallace?” Everything else is the same. I’m used to occasionally seeing alternate strips used, but they’re typically more different than this, and I can’t figure out why this was substituted.

Oh joy, another screwball story arc. I’ll check back in a week.
