A tradition for cats

Better get to spring cleaning, Jon.

I think Garfield forgot the carpets

At least he didn’t claw Jon ( this time anyway).

A cat must do what a cat was born to do.

Spring into action, Garfield. Don’t leave a shred of evidence behind. Just like you would do with a plate of doughnuts, or Jon’s dinner.

Jon may have Garfield de clawed.

Garfield’s concerned about identity theft

Jon could get blinds instead of drapes but that won’t save his chair and sofa.

At least Garfield does this once a year.

You complain when he doesn’t do anything. You complain when he does. Why do you even have a cat?

Could it be that Jon is started to regret not getting Garfield declawed?

Doesn’t Jon know that Garfield has a deal with the reupholstery business for a share of the profits?

I mean…I feel like this shouldn’t be a surprise for Jon

My cats have done that to my living room sheers and bedroom curtains. I’m not going to replace the sheers, but I’m torn between buying new curtains I like or putting back the bedroom curtains that came with the apartment.

A spring reverse clean.

My first two cats took care of my drapes, carpet, organ, my wooden ship model of the Bon Homme Richard I built and bring gift of live mice.

Given a choice cats will always choose a couch over a scratching post.

Funny joke, but it would have been a much better strip if we saw the shredded furniture and maybe Jons reaction….I feel like if this were an earlier strip it would have shown it rather than basically repeating the same image of Garfield in an each panel….it could have been a much funnier and stronger strip!

My cat never bothers anything which she should not. The dog, however…

I shred, mostly on a Strat though ! ;-)

This is why my parents bought their fine fabric furniture AFTER the last of their cats died.

Spring shredding? Garfield works for a a three letter Government agencies.
