I get that he asked about back issues in order to set up the lame joke, and that his son-in-law is a comic book fan, but who on Earth goes into a store that specializes in new and used comics and asks if they have any back issues? I mean, DUH!

Ed should’ve mentioned back issues of what comic book. No wonder it was not understood!
