I was working B2B sales during the 2008 recession and I actually pitched to a headstone company thinking this very thing, people die regardless of the economy. They told me, oh yeah, people die, they get buried, but the headstone installation is not a necessary thing.
to be fair, what with burials being so expensive, and more people being cremated, headstones aren’t much of a given anymore… but the tp… yeah… especially since Sears and Montgomery Ward catalogs are a thing of the past!
