Based on the boat angle it would seem that maybe someone put on too much weight and is using “steroids” as an excuse to cover that up

The person in the stern is either overweight, over armored or probably both. At least there is some small chance that part of the boat will stay afloat, since the break is now above water. The bow section, however, will soon be on the way to Davy Jone’s Locker.

Apparently those two also spend time on rowing teams…

One pair is stuck with Fatso. The other two have the treasure. Not quite an even split.

If so, they might make it to shore before they sink.
