I believe that Fancy Banshee is in reference to Granny Bitty as she will shriek her displeasure of what is going on. A banshee is a supernatural being from Gaelic Celtic folklore that takes the form of a shrieking or singing woman.

OT: It’s National Cheesesteak Day!

That is indeed an emergency. Baba knows everyone, so I imagine her phone tree is quite extensive.

St. Patricks day was a week ago, it’s time to let it go. Besides today is March 24th, National Cheesesteak Day. (For you wrestling fans it’s also the Undertakers birthday)

Surely the BCN news team and company could have a lot of fun with Cheesesteaks, after all it is food and the cats love to play with food. They could get into a discussion over the use of cheese whiz vs provolone, (cheese whiz was the original) the kind of bread, whether or not a true Philly Cheesesteak has any vegetables other than onions, (it doesn’t).

This could morph into a story line about the varied and much storied history of Philadelphia and the children’s school could become the first school in the Big Pink House on the Hill. Ora Zella could imitate Benjamin Franklin and do something dangerous with electricity. There are so many possibilities for the BCN news team to screw up in their delightful way, that it could be entertaining for at least another week.

Ever heard a female fox (vixen) when she’s looking for love? … Banshee would quite fit! And I agree, Georgia drops these innocuous hints and then they show up in a strip on down the road. I can’t wait to see who Fancy Banshee turns out to be.

Advance warnings on the revisions – one thing they’ve already started implementing is that no longer will the daily comics (the .gifs and .jpgs) be named in human-readable form. They threw the switch today sometime (around 10:15 EDT, I believe) and now they’re all things like . So far, the new naming doesn’t seem to have broken retrieval even of the oldest strips, which is (somewhat) good news.

I found Fancy Banshee. She had a boutique on etsy. Also is called Ecto from Moshi Monsters No idea what a Moshi Monster is, some sort of online game from several years ago? Still no idea, but here is her bio:

OT: All’s well that ends well

The conclusion of my fictitious visit to my brother’s again after not leaving my wallet at a restaurant on Saturday. This morning I cashed a check at the Imaginary Bank so I’d have money to fill the gas tank (not that I needed to since this did not happen). I had a pleasant enough drive over, and took bro and SIL to lunch. After lunch I made a quick stop, we said our goodbyes and as I started to go out the door SIL said, “Wait, you left your purse on the sofa.” I have it now, made sure my head was attached to my body, and am home where Jojo insists I forgot to feed her this morning. Anyway, this didn’t happen, but if it did, it ended well.

Can’t wait to see what Granny Bitty says about this! Also who is Fancy Banshee?

OT: I’ve changed my profile picture to my Sophie Loafy, who passed away this morning. My belief system doesn’t include the rainbow bridge, so I can’t find solace in that. But I got to spend her whole life with her. She was my first lady cat, an absolute beauty, and my best girl.♥
