Oh! The snowmanity!

I shouldn’t care if people are mean to inanimate objects, but there is something unsettling about people who are mean to inanimate objects.

It’s only the “spring equinox” (or “vernal equinox”) in the northern hemisphere, not the southern hemisphere. Properly, this equinox event should be called either the “March equinox” (since it occurs in the month of March for both hemispheres,) or the “northward equinox” (since the Sun appears to be moving towards the north as observed from either the northern or southern hemisphere.)

For the mislabeled “fall equinox” (or “autumnal equinox”), the equivalent terms are either “September equinox” or “southward equinox”.

Interesting about all the blizzards across the country the past few days…..do we blame Danae or Cap’n Eddie?

We’re getting some fresh snow this morning for the first day of Spring.

Elon Musk would take a chainsaw to his snowman. Or a flamethrower.

When I lived in central NY (Rome), if there was snow left in the yard on May 1st, I cleared it onto the street with whatever tools it took!

Already took down Xmas lights?

I think the celebration was 3 days ago

The Equini are not “Spring” & “Fall”; they’re Vernal & Autumnal.

2 or 3 inches of snow here yesterday… Winter’s going away present.

I have several neighbors whose spring equinox ceremony is taking down their xmas decorations

Snow gods now targeting him for revenge…

He’s getting split ends. Namely, his top is about to split from his middle and bottom.

So, you can murder something, without murdering someone … still a bit dicey. And were the kids watching?

Damp, but satisfying.

That is one hardy snowman if you can still see its basic appearance after all the other snow in the naborhood has melted!

He’s committing “snowicide”! Nuff said.

70 degrees last day of winter…snowing on first day of spring.

And an “equine-ox” is a cross between a horse and a bovine.

I’ve been known to do some shoveling in the garden area to accelerate melting, but his year it got so warm so quickly, it saved me the hassle!
