She usually wins for strange oddball female betting reasons. I would go and bet for whatever team she chooses.

Their Pregame, half-time and post game activities, hope we get see them all. I would be happy, run in water to them between plays.

For Arlo hope springs eternal that he’ll one day win a bet with Janis.

If I remember right, Janis is really good at picking the winner, and I think (at least once), her criteria was which quarterback had the cutest butt… ☺

If you have to gamble on it to make it interesting, it’s not.

Maybe Arlo’s bet is if he wins, then Janis has to dye her hair again…

Based on Janis’ reaction, it looks like Arlo is going to win regardless of the outcome of the football game. Wait, I’m pretty sure she’s also going to win either way. Odds are Janis will be the underdog, but it’s hard to beat the over-under total most of the time.

I’m not sure if I’m allowed to watch. As a Canadian with all the nonsense between Ottawa and Washington, I guess I’ll wait for the Clown Prince to tell me what I can do.

I have no idea what is happening in this comic today.

I don’t need to watch or listen to the game. I already know the results. One team wins, one team loses.

Once Green Bay is out I lose interest in football. But the Brewers home opener is just 8 short weeks away!

Boy Jimmy missed a deadline did you? Daily strips normally are done 4 weeks in advance. And Sunday are 6 weeks.

The outcome of a football game is hard to predict… the game might seem to be in hand, then suddenly someone is spiking it in the end zone or splitting the uprights for the win! Never give up, Arlo!

I don’t know how many years now, but we look forward to superbowl Sunday for their same bet. We learned of this bet from JJ and we are very thankful.

My husband has no interest in sports (no, really true*). Back in the days when the Super Bowl was on earlier, in the afternoon on the East Coast, we would be in a store walking around during the game (we used to walk around in stores on Sundays for “excitement”). Whenever he could he would walk around the TV department and change the channel to something else. As his idea of “fun”.

(*When he was a boy he did watch the World Series as “everyone did”, but never really interested in sports. ) Oddly for someone who is not interested in sports he has been to two NY Yankees World Series games “back in the day”. (His dad would be taken to the game by someone in business and the fellow would say “let’s bring our sons with us”).
